Connecting with the Canadian Market

Marc will focus on how NH is very important for Canadian tourists and how they partner with a number of NH-based groups to help make their citizens feel welcome. He will also be noting the important role that that Canadian tourists play in NH’s economy. 

About the Presenter: Marc Jacques, Consulate General of Canada
Marc A. Jacques is the Senior Political and Economic Affairs Attaché at Consulate General of Canada. He works with New England Chambers of Commerce, economic development organizations and financial institutions to cultivate commercial partnerships and advocate for trade policies which impact the bilateral relationship. He analyzes the economic outlook of the New England market and researches subjects such as energy, economic competitiveness, tariff regimes, labor and transportation/supply chain issues, while managing the Government of Canada’s relationship with New England universities regarding various fields of research linked to Canada’s foreign policy priorities.

In addition to his duties at the Consulate, Marc is a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Economic Partnership, a member of the New Hampshire-Canada Trade Council, and a member of the New Hampshire Business & Industry Association Economic Development Committee and New England-Canada Business Council. Marc received a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts and a Master’s in Public Policy and Public Administration from Concordia University in Montréal, Québec.
